Allen A. Hamann, 80, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf. In accordance with his wishes, following cremation, private inurnment will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Mr. Hamann was born in Eldridge, Iowa. He served in the U.S. Army and was employed as a sales representative for the S.M. Service Co. prior to his retirement in 1991. He served for many years on the Eldridge Volunteer Fire Department.
Survivors include his former wife, Joanne Hamann, son Robert (Evelyn) Hamann, daughter Ann (Michael) Payne; four grandchildren and siblings Jean Schilling and Don Hamann. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Lois (Wiese) Hamann.
