Allison J. Groenwoldt

A memorial service for Allison J. Groenwoldt, 66, of Davenport will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary chapel in Davenport. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time at the mortuary. Inurnment will be in Oakdale Memorial Gardens, Davenport. Ms. Groenwoldt passed away on Friday, February 23, 2018 at the Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House in Bettendorf.

Allison June Swain was born on July 23, 1951 in Davenport, the daughter of James and Fern (Vanderheyden) Swain Jr. She was a graduate of Davenport Central High School. Allison enjoyed her work as an executive administrative assistant for Tri-State Grocers in El Paso, TX.

She is survived by her Mother: Fern Swain of Muscatine, IA; Sons: Derek (Leslie) Groenwoldt of Chicago, IL, Adam Groenwoldt of Iowa City, IA; Sisters: Cheryl (John) Stockham of Oregon, Cynthia Swain of Muscatine, IA; and Granddaughters: Cedar and Ruby Groenwoldt of Chicago.

She was preceded in death by her father and aunt, Grace Dahms.

Memorials may be directed to the Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or to the Scott County Humane Society.
