Alma H. Dittrich, 92, of Davenport, died Saturday, August 04, 2012 in Davenport. Per her request, cremation rites were accorded. Private services will take place. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or a favorite charity. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com

Alma was born April 8, 1920 in Eldridge, IA, the daughter of Theodor and Bertha (Holdorf) Baetke. She married Joseph F Dittrich on February 27, 1946 in Davenport; he preceded her in death on March 9, 1994.

She was a loving homemaker and taught school in her earlier years in rural Scott County. She also worked as a receptionist for J.F. Dittrich Transfer in Davenport. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters and St. Paul Lutheran Church.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: Betty Dittrich, Prairie Village, KS; Steven A. Dittrich, West Des Moines, IA; Frank J. Dittrich, Davenport, IA; granddaughter, Rachel (Kenneth) Boc, Kansas City, KS; great grandson, Kenneth I.D. Boc; and sisters-in-law, Ruth Baetke and Ruth Baetke-Heuer.

Her parents, brothers, Ted, Dick, Ray and an infant son, Robert preceded her in death.
