Anita Jean Robinson

Anita J. Robinson, 84, of Silvis, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at Silvis Center, Silvis, IL. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, February 17, 2025 at Weerts Funeral Home. Visitation will be held from 12 noon until time of service. Anita was born on August 25, 1940 in Davenport, IA to Ray and Rose (Bednarik) Jones. She was united in marriage to Richard Robinson on March 26, 1960. He Preceded her in death on January 3, 1992. Anita was employed at the Rock Island Arsenal for 32 years. She retired in 2009. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, World Thrust, Orion, IL. and she traveled with Renewal in Christ Ministries; helping Fr. Gary as a prayer warrior. Anita lived a life to serve the Lord and care for others by sharing her faith. She enjoyed simple pleasures in life such as storytelling, reading from her library and spending time with family and friends.

Those left to honor her memory include her children, Beth (Mike) Roelens of Geneseo, IL, Michael Robinson of Rock Island, IL. and Brian Robinson of McGregor, IA.; grandchildren, Myra, Mike, Brent and Bailey; great-grandchildren, Jazmin, Lindsay, Dominic, Alicia, Aiden and Irie; 1 great-great granddaughter, Rae; sisters, Sally Presser and Rosie Holman.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Richard Robinson; son, Leslie Robinson and siblings, John Paul Jones, Sue Courter, Laberta Scrivener, and Larry Jones.

The family would like to thank close family friends, Steve and Kathy Kuder, Doug and Cathy Mason, Nate Acree and Mary Bruce for their loving care and support.
