

Funeral services for Anita Sexton, 81, of Buffalo, will be 1:00 pm on Friday at Cunnick-Collins Mortuary,Davenport. Inurnment will take place at a later date in Rose Hill Cemetery, Buffalo, Iowa. The family will greet friends on Thursday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at the mortuary.
Anita passed away, surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 5, 2014 at her home in Buffalo.

Anita Shadrick was born on September 8, 1932 in Jasper, TN, the daughter of Anderson and Liza (Shrum) Shadrick. Anita worked at St. Luke’s Hospital in Environmental services, retiring in 1997.
Survivors include her Children, Cathy (Randy) Stowe of Buffalo, Ed (Jill) Sexton of Davenport, Ann McKinley of Buffalo, David Sexton of Camanche, Joe (Julie) Sexton of Davenport, John (Kimberly) Sexton of Davenport, 12 grandchildren; Jim (Audrey), Sara (Kory), Eric (Jessica), Heather (Eric), Amber, Kevin, Sam, Ian (Amber), Katelyn, Dakota, Thomas, Rosa Lee, Joey, Jackson, Ryan, and Chris, 17 Great grandchildren; Cheyenne, Samantha, Dawson, Delaney, Kegan, Logan, Caleb, Ariez, Autumn, Deacon, Hailie, Drayden, Lylah, Delia, Damon, Linken, Izabella, and a brother; Melvin (Charlotte) Shadrick of Davenport, and many beloved nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, David (Mary) Shadrick, sisters; Amarylis, Judith Marie, daughter, Dawn, niece, Tami Shadrick Hayes, and great-nephew, Scotty Thomas.
Memorials may be made to Anita’s Angels and Dawn’s Darlings.
The family would like to thank Dr. Motto, Dr Al Sheikha, Dr. Shobande and Genesis Hospice for their care and compassion during Anita’s Illness.
A gathering will be held after the celebration of life at the Buffalo Beach Pub.
