Davenport, IA Funeral services for Anna L. Marshall, 64, of Davenport, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at the Cunnick-Collins Mortuary Chapel in Davenport. The family will greet friends from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the mortuary. Mrs. Marshall passed away on Saturday, June 30th at her residence following a lengthy battle with heart disease and kidney failure. Anna Louise Davis was born on January 19, 1948 in Keokuk, IA, the daughter of Wilbur G. and Mary L. (VanPelt) Davis. On December 29, 1967 she married John C. Marshall in Burlington, IA. After earning her degree as a Certified Nursing Assistant from Scott Community College, she went to work at the former Franciscan Hospital in Rock Island for 15 years prior to her retirement in 1988 due to failing health.Anna attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Davenport for many years and will always be remembered for her big heart and caring ways, always putting everyone else first. She loved children and enjoyed caring for her many great nieces and nephews.Surviving members of the family include – 2 Sons: Christopher Marshall of Davenport, and Thomas Tillberg of Bettendorf; 2 Sisters: Hazel (Bobbie Leggett) Dohman of West Point, IA, and Sheila Jackson of Koekuk, IA; 2 Brothers: Danny (Joyce) Davis of Davenport, and Wilbur G. Davis Jr. of Murphysboro, IL; her Sister-in-Law: Polly (Robert) Buckles of Garden City, KS; a special Niece and Nephew: Betsy Wellman and Blair Dohman; as well as many other nieces, nephews, and cousins. She will be greatly missed by all.Those members of her family preceding her in death include: her parents, a daughter Brandi Lynn, a son Michael Davis, and in-laws, Frank and Irene Marshall.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be left to the family.
