I have very fond memories of the Duede's. Growing up I worked in my Dad's furniture store in which Lloyd had his upholstery shop. Starting at the age of 11 learning refinishing work & repair, lunch time was always reserved in Lloyd's shop. Always happy to help him move a piece of heavy furniture when needed & learn a little of what he was doing. Annabelle would often take him to work & pick him up again & it was a pleasure to meet her. She was always so nice to me, a very sweet lady. Even invited me to a family picnic in Dubuque at the age of 17. Sorry to say I had lost touch with her since my Dad's passing in 1998. She will be truly missed!

I met Ann when I became a member of the Blackhawk Chapter of Professional Secretaries International in 1994. Ann was a very welcoming person who always had a positive thought. She was a gracious lady who enriched the lives of others. I was blessed to have known her. She will be dearly missed and thought of lovingly.

Tom and I were blessed that God led us to buy the house across the alley from Annie and Lloyd Duede. They welcomed our young family to the neighborhood with open arms and hearts. Over the years they became a third set of grandparents for our children. They cried with us and celebrated with us through the years. Tom and I and our children are better people due to Annie and Lloyd influence. Rest well Annie.
