Born on December 18, 1967, in Santa Clara, California, to Edward and Verlene (Meyer) Pulido, he was the eldest of four siblings. Tony’s father worked for the government, so the family moved frequently—living in California, Virginia, Nebraska, Missouri, and Illinois—before eventually settling in Davenport. He graduated from Assumption High School in 1986, attended Scott Community College, and spent a short time in the Navy.
Tony was a man of few words—independent, kind, and helpful—who enjoyed reading, learning about history, good food, and fireworks.
He is survived by his father, Edward (Mary) of Bettendorf; three younger siblings: sister, Melissa Patterson (Shawn) of Blue Grass, and their children, Timothy (and his daughter, Rylee), Robert, and Aubree (of Iowa City), brother, Dan (Kat) of Atlantic, and their children, Cael (of Dubuque) and Kylie, and brother, Paul (Angel O’Neill) of Bettendorf; and a step-sister, Sarah (Michael) Ohl of Marion. He is also survived by a dear friend, Tammy Davis.
Tony was preceded in death by his grandparents, Benigno and Macaria Pulido, and George and Verla Meyer, as well as his mother, Verlene, in 1995.
Tony was an organ and tissue donor; a quiet act of generosity that reflected the kind of person he was.
