Anthony Wayne Schumacher

Anthony Wayne Schumacher passed away on September 3, 2026, at the age of 67. He was born on June 23, 1959, in Davenport, IA, the son of Carrol and Shirley Schumacher. A private viewing will be held at Weerts Funeral Home with burial to follow at Rock Island National Cemetery.

Anthony was a graduate of Pleasant Valley High School and later attended Scott Community College and Clinton Community College, where he earned a certificate in Phlebotomy. He worked as a phlebotomist at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, as well as at many jobs around the Quad Cities, such as a staff member at Bishops Buffet, a hotel clerk, and a phlebotomist at a blood donor center. He was also an Air Force Veteran.

Anthony was a free spirit, but he was there for family, helping his sister learn to read, giving his mother a rose on Mother’s Day, and standing up for his brother when he was bullied. He enjoyed fishing, swimming, and going on adventures.

He is survived by his siblings Kathy Broggio, Matt Schumacher, and Elizabeth Schumacher.
