Arlene E. Dibbern, 88, of Davenport was called to the Lord on Friday, November 30, 2018 surrounded by family. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 8, 2018 at Grace United Methodist Church in Davenport. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until service time. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the Grace United Methodist Church boiler fund. Arlene was born in Davenport to John and Viola Schroeder. She was united in marriage to William H. Dibbern on September 20, 1952 at the Berea Congressional Church. Arlene graduated from Davenport High School. She worked at Schramm & Schmeig, Edwards Bakery, Target, Bishops, and was an amazing homemaker. Arlene enjoyed playing bingo, volunteering at church, cheering for the Cubs, and collecting Snow White memorabilia. She was a founding member of her card club, which she enjoyed for 62 years. Her family, especially the grandchildren, were the joys of her life. Survivors include her husband of 66 years, William; children: Ginny, William (Karla), Eric (Tracy), Marcia (Craig) Canfield and Chris (Andrea); grandchildren: Chris, Jennifer, William III, Kevin, Troy, Tina, Timothy, Onna, Cruz, Noah, Cohen, Samarh, Owen and Emma; sister, Shirley Stockwell; brother-in-law, Wyatt Frahm; and sister-in-law, Maureen Sears. Arlene is preceded in death by her parents; brothers, John and Robert; sister, Diana Frahm; and grandson, Jeremiah Dibbern.
