Arline W. Reese, 97, of Davenport, formerly of Walcott, passed away January 4, 2016 in Davenport. Funeral services will be held at 10 am, Friday, January 8, 2016 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm, Thursday, at the Runge Mortuary. Private burial will be in Durant Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Walcott Volunteer Fire Department. Arline was born in 1918, the daughter of Viola and Fred Meyer. She married Emil Reese on November 6, 1937. He preceded her in death in 1989. Emil and Arline farmed for many years near New Liberty. They enjoyed socializing with friends. She was employed by Whiteway Restaurant in Durant for eighteen years. Survivors include a number of nieces and nephews and a very special friend, Rod Grage.
