

Audrey Linville, 85, of Davenport passed away August 1, 2017 at Clarissa C Cook Hospice House, Bettendorf. A Funeral service will be held on Monday August 07, 2017 at 12 noon. Visitation will be held from 10 am until the time of service. Burial will be at The Rock Island National Cemetery. Memorials may be left to CASI or the Scott County Democrats. Online condolences can be expressed at www.rungemortuary.com. Audrey was born August 07, 1931 in Iowa City, Iowa to Samuel and Alberta (Ziegenhorn) Tobias. She graduated from Davenport High school in 1951. She married Reo Guenther, he preceded her in death. She married Harry Hopwood, he preceded her in death. She married Kenny Nolan, they later divorced. She married Howard Linville, he preceded her in death. Audrey worked for many years in the food and beverage industry. She also worked for local casinos. Audrey was deeply involved in local organizations including: a Precinct Election Official, Scott County Levy Commission, Scott County Housing Committee, Democratic Central Committee, CASI advisory Board, a leader of TOPS, and a member of the Scott County Democrats. Audrey was very talented and creative; she can be remembered for her wedding cake decorating. She was a quilter, she loved to sew, cross-stich and crochet. She would sew for her grandchildren and the label would read “from grandma’s workshop”. She also enjoyed a good margarita. Survivors include her daughter Connie (Larry) Engholm; grandson, Jeffery (Monica Costa-Nizzi) Guenther; great grandson Avery D. Guenther; sister, Barbara Shirk and one step-daughter Roberta (Birdie) Lenda. Proceeded by, her parents, four husbands, and a sister.
