Barb was born July 11, 1949, in Sterling, IL to James & Ruth (Conway) Burchett. She was united in marriage to Stephen Edmond on April 12, 1969, in Green Rock, IL.
Barb had been employed with Genesis Medical Center as a pharmacy tech for 34 years where she made lifelong friends. She retired in 2014.
Barb met Steve on a blind date in 1968, and she initially found him annoying. But he was persistent until he eventually won her over. He married her for her sense of humor, which is shared by all her children and grandchildren.
Barb loved movies, music, and pop culture. She cherished her time with friends and family. She will be missed for her quick wit and loyal nature.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Stephen Edmond, Davenport; son Christopher (Shannon) Edmond, Davenport; daughter Jennifer (Benjaman) Parks, Yucaipa, CA; grandchildren Joshua and Hannah Edmond and Eva Parks; and brother John Burchett, CA.
Barb was preceded in death by her parents, James & Ruth Burchett.
A moment after she passed, a lullaby played throughout the hospital, signifying a baby was born. She would have loved that.
