Barbara E Fields

Barbara Evelyn Fields, age 91, passed away peacefully on October 21, 2026, at Clarissa C. Cook Hospice House. Services will be private for the family. Her final resting place will be at the Smithtown Cemetery located in Lost Nation, IA.

Barb was born on November 11, 1934, in Vermont, the daughter of Chauncey and Elizabeth Poquette. She was a high school graduate, a devoted mother and homemaker, and worked as a packer at Oscar Mayer.

Barb enjoyed oil paintings and had a special love for decorating her home for Christmas and every holiday throughout the year. She took great care in making her home warm and festive for her family. One of her greatest priorities was ensuring that her children and family received religious education. She will be remembered for her kindness and dedication to those she loved.

Barb is survived by her beloved spouse, Clifford Lee Fields; her children, Sharon Lea and Jeffrey Alan; and her cherished grandchildren and great-grandchildren: Bryan (Pam) Fields and their children, Mikayla and Savannah; Christy Orcutt and her children, Jenna, Evelyn, and Levi; Jason (Carissa) Orcutt and their daughter, Aubree; Callie Carter and her children, Braden and Hailey; Jordan (Chelsea) Orcutt and their children, Mollie, Cheyanne, and Connor, Lauren Fields and her children, Adalyn and Kahlani, and Jacob, Katelyn and Anna Fields. She is also survived by close family friends Robert Lowder and Steven Howerton.

She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.
