Betty F. Paulsen

Betty Paulsen, 80, of Davenport, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 7, 2014. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 11, 2014 at 11:30 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 pm at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Davenport V.F.W. Post 828. Betty was born February 10, 1933 in Hannibal, Missouri and moved as a young girl to Davenport.

She was united in marriage to A. John Paulsen on April 25, 1951 in Davenport; he preceded her in death on November 28, 1996.

Betty loved her grandchildren and her great grandchildren very much and also loved camping, fishing and gambling at the casino. She coached junior bowling for many years at Bowlmor Lanes. She was a member of the Davenport V.F.W. Post 828 women’s auxiliary for many years.

Those honoring her memory include, her “favorite” daughter, Nancy (Mike) Caufield; sons: Tim (Amy), Randy (girlfriend, Michelle), Gary and Craig, all of Davenport; A. John Paulsen, Jr., Bakersfield, CA; eight grandchildren and three great granddaughters. She was preceded in death by her parents, grandson, Steven and a daughter-in-law, Kim Paulsen.
