

Betty Lou Stebens, 80, of Davenport passed away in the comfort of her own home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, March 28, 2013. Per her request, a private family service will be held. Betty was born August 18, 1932 in Davenport; the daughter of William and Blanche (McNabb) Tutor. She married George Stebens in 1951 in Davenport; he preceded her in death.
Betty was head cook for over 20 years at the Davenport Lutheran Home
She was a woman of faith who loved her flower gardens and loved to crochet blankets for her grandchildren. She loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and she enjoyed gathering with them for family dinners.
Those celebrating her life include children and spouses: Cindy (Brad) Entler, Davenport; Cathy (Chris) Quilty, Davenport; Paula (Allen) Strockbine, Grass Valley, CA; Robin (Chris) Jennings, Eldridge, IA and Bill (Sheila) Stebens, Camanche, IA; grandchildren: Jen (Andy), Shawn (Katy), Missy, Mandy (Joe), Mike, Hannah, Dan, Jeramy (Lindsay), Matt (Sara), Andy and Courtney; great grandchildren: Drew, Ashley, Ali, Izzy, Isaiah, Nate, Devin, Zach, Eve, Mady, Joey, Jayden, Mahlaya, Ella, Noah and Addison; brothers Charles and Carl Tutor and sisters, Francis Miller and Pat Boudrie.
Her parents, son, Jamie and a great grandchild, Kaylijah preceded her in death.
A cake reception will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Monday, April1,2013 at Spring Village for all family and friends following private graveside services.
