Betty J. Steinhagen, 90, of Davenport, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2014. Funeral services will be held at 12 noon, Tuesday, July 8, 2014 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 am until 12 noon at the mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church in Davenport. Betty married Elvin Steinhagen in Davenport in 1942. He preceded her in death in 2000. She was a homemaker, enjoyed playing bingo, and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church.
Survivors include her two sons: Dennis (Lynne) of Arvada, CO and Bruce (Christine) of Virginia Beach, VA; four grandchildren: Derrick, Tiffany, Ashley and Jamie; sister-in-law, Ruth Thode and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents, Alexander and Christina Young and five sisters: Mildred Wilford, Dorothy Berns, Marcella Holdorf, Ida Kelling and Norma McCallister.
