Beverly J. Ferguson, 78, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, September 28, 2025, in Davenport. Services to honor her life will be Saturday, October 4, 2025, at 2:00 pm at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation is Saturday from 12:00 p.m. until the service at 2:00 p.m., at the mortuary. Her final resting place will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may go to CASI.
Bev was born in Davenport, on June 17, 1947. She was the loving daughter of Ralph and Helen (Moeller) Erps. She married Douglas L. “Pudd” Ferguson in 2007 in Rock Island. He preceded her in death on May 23, 2021.
Bev started her career working as a Service Manager for Jewell/Osco in Clinton, IA. She then worked 20 years as a loan officer in Sebring, FL and started her own private business before retiring and moving to the Quad Cities to be with her family. She belonged to CASI and looked forward to playing bingo and visiting with other people. She also enjoyed going to the local casinos and in earlier years, Bev served as a Girl Scout Troup Leader.
She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend who will be deeply missed!
Those left to honor her memory include her children: Mary (Duane) Bird, Joe (Jill) Dankert and Jason “Jay” (Teri) Dankert, grandchildren: Tyler (Sarah) Hill, Paige Bird, Reece (Khasi) Bird, Kelsey Dankert, Karly Dankert, Courtney Dankert, Drew, Dalton, Devon Dankert and Zach Johnson; one great grandchild, Carter; and siblings: James (Deborah) Erps, Linda (Ken) Parkinson, Vickie (Fred) Passig, Cindy (Sam) Yates and Lisa Erps along with numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her 18-month-old sister, Joyce.
