Beverly Dianne Green

Services will be Monday, April 17, 2023 at 10 am at The Runge Mortuary. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Her final resting place will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may go to the Alzheimer’s Association. Online condolences may be left at rungemortuary.com.

Beverly was born in Des Moines, IA on April 26, 1936. She was the daughter of Clarence and Mildred Shipley. She married Linden Ater in 1955; they later divorced in 1973. She then married Neal Green on September 12, 1988. He preceded her in death on November 16, 2002.

She worked at the Rock Island Arsenal for 36 years prior to her retirement. She was an avid reader and movie watcher. She especially loved the Chicago Cubs, Iowa Hawkeyes and finding treasures while “junking” and antiquing. She was also an avid supporter of Iowa PBS. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church in Bull Shoals, Ark. and enjoyed attending bible study.

Those left to honor her memory include her children: Robert (Carla) Ater, Appleton, WI, Sue (Dale) Wagenecht, Cordova, IL, Linden Richard (Beth) Ater, Jr., Rock Island and Kelly (Jim) Jech, Oklahoma City, OK; 11 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; brothers: Clark and Doug Rowden and Rick and Sooner Shipley along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Her parents, a granddaughter, a great grandson, brother, Greg Rowden and sisters, Barbara Merritt and Patricia Brewer preceded her in death.
