Beverly Lee Johnson

Beverly L. Johnson, 85, of Davenport, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011 at Trinity Bettendorf. Funeral services will be held at 11 am on Friday, December 2, 2011 at the First Baptist Church, 1401 Perry Street, in Davenport. Visitation will be from 4-7 pm on Thursday, December 1 at the Runge Mortuary. Burial will be in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church. Bev was born February 25, 1926 in Yankton, South Dakota, the daughter of Roy and Mabel (Davis) Church. She was married to Calvin F. Johnson from 1945-1984.

Bev was employed by Davenport Memorial Park for twenty-six years.

She was a member of First Baptist Church in Davenport. Her hobbies included camping, music, outdoor and sporting activities, especially watching her grandchildren play baseball and volleyball.

Survivors include her daughters and sons-in-law: Julie and Richard Harmon and Lisa and Nelson Schrank; nine grandchildren: Duane Harmon, Angela (Harmon) Helton, Aleesa, Alexander, and Andrew Schrank, and Erica, Staci, Ernest, and Pamela Johnson, along with numerous great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Stanley E. Johnson, two brothers, and a sister.
