Beverly Taylor

Beverly Taylor, 81, of Davenport Iowa passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her daughter and granddaughter on July 8, 2026. A visitation will be held Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the Runge Mortuary from 2-6 pm. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.rungemortuary.com

Beverly was born on June 5, 1945, in Struthers, Ohio to Dr. Eli and Vera (Schafer) Sweed. She was a beautiful, vibrant soul that lived life to the fullest. Beverly was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was so full of love and light people were immediately drawn to her. Beverly had a gift for making others feel welcome, offering comfort through her gentle spirit, generous heart and warm smile.

In 2012, she retired from Sears Manufacturing in Davenport, Iowa after 30 years of service. For most of her career she worked in the payroll department and became a part of the Sears family.

Those left to cherish her memory include her daughter, Stefanie (Mark Donna) Arp; granddaughter, Paige (Caleb) Bendixen; sisters, Sandra Sweed, Janet (Burt) Porter; granddaughter, Krystle (Joel) Padilla; grandson, Michael (Becca) Gravitt; special brother-in-law, Chuck Taylor; special niece, Barbara Patton; nephew, Jimmie Patton and several great-grandchildren.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband, Phil Taylor; her parents; daughter, Sherri Arp and her most precious four-legged friends, Max and Maddie.

Memorials may be made to the family to help with final expenses. The remaining memorials will be sent to Gilda’s Club in Beverly’s memory.
