Billy Glen Mayo

Billy G. Mayo, 73, of Davenport, passed away on Saturday, December 5, 2025, at his home. Per his wishes, he will be cremated, and the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date. Online condolences may be expressed at www.weertsfh.com.

Billy was born on September 13, 1952, in Aledo, IL, to William and Betty (Brewer) Mayo. He was drafted into the United States Air Force and later spent many years working as a truck driver for Dohrn Transportation.

Billy shared 40 years of his life with his companion, Patricia Fisher, and together they raised 10 children. He enjoyed camping, motorcycle rides, and was well known for his stubborn streak and for giving Patricia a hard time. Billy cherished time spent with family and friends and could often be found sipping on a Budweiser and enjoying good company.

Those left to honor his memory include his loving companion of 40 years, Patricia; his children Shawna Mayo, Shadrick Mayo, Jessica Mayo, Justin Mayo, Bridget Mayo, Travis Mayo, and Shane Mayo; 27 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; his brother Gary Lee Mayo; and cousins Cindy and Vicki.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
