

Bob “Jurgy” Jurgensen, 89, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on May 30, 2026. Per his wishes, a visitation will be held at Weerts Funeral Home on Monday, June 8, 2026 from 4 to 6 pm. A graveside service will take place 1 pm Tuesday, June 9, 2026 at Dayton Corners Cemetery in Richland Center, WI.
Born May 4, 1937, in Delmar, IA, Bob was the son of Estalla (Ferguson) and Carl Jurgensen. Bob worked as a truck driver and served as Director of Operations for Standard Forwarding in Moline, IL. He retired from Standard Forwarding in 1999, but kept plenty busy. He proudly owned and operated Jurgys Rototilling and Blade offering excavating and tilling services. In 1960, Bob married Sharon Anderson; they later divorced. He married Lijuan Wang in 2024. Bob had two beloved daughters. In his spare time, Bob greatly enjoyed dancing, numerous trips to Mexico, driving his tractor, and listening to music. He was a member of the Moose Club, Teamsters Local 371, the Quad-City Traffic Club, and St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Bob's social and outgoing nature was larger than life.
Those left to honor Bob’s memory include his wife, Lijuan Wang; daughters, Dr. Cyndi Jurgensen and Kim Ranicke; six grandchildren, and sister Betty Bayne.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Lucille Faber, and his brothers, Charles Jurgensen and Gene Jurgensen.
