Bona Lynn Bradley

Bona Lynn Bradley, 74, of Davenport, Iowa, passed away on July 31, 2026. Per her wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2 p.m. on Saturday, August 15, 2026 at Adventure Christian Community, please wear orange in her memory. Bona was born on May 6, 1952, in Davenport, IA, the daughter of Dolores (Pauly) and Donald Koss Sr. She graduated from Bettendorf High School and later completed her studies at Rex Academy of Beauty. Bona worked at Lane Bryant for 13 years, yet those who knew and loved her understood that her greatest joy was found at home—being a wife, a mommy, and a mammy.

On March 9, 1975, Bona married Gary Joe Bradley at St. Marks Lutheran Church in Davenport, IA. Together they shared a life rooted in faith and devotion, and they were blessed with two beloved daughters.

Bona’s love for family was most vividly felt in the time she spent with her grandchildren. She delighted in simple joys and shared traditions—especially her infamous root beer floats, always made with 1919 root beer and ice cream kept ready “just in case”. Many treasured hours were spent on trips to museums, shopping outings, and watching YouTube together, moments made warmer by Bona’s easy affection and the comfort of her presence.

A member of Adventure Christian Community, Bona’s faith was central to her life. She loved Jesus and cherished church, holding close the meaning of tradition and the steady strength of community.

Bona will be remembered for the way she made others feel welcomed and cared for—quick with a hug and always happiest when surrounded by people. She carried a lighthearted spirit and a playful sense of humor, a true jokester who could brighten a room. She found joy in the everyday.

Bona’s legacy lives on in the love she gave so freely, the faith she lived with sincerity, and the family traditions she built and protected with care.

Among those left to honor her memory include her daughters; Christine (Chris) Neff and Sarah Bradley; grandchildren, Elizabeth Bradley, Colsen Neff, and Annalyn Neff; siblings, Corrin Hentzel, Donald (Connie) Koss Jr., and Janet (Tim) Logsdon; brother-in-law, Alan Bradley; many nieces and nephews; puppies, grandpuppies, and grandkitties.

Bona was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Gary Joe Bradley, and her parents, Donald and Dolores Koss.
