Bradley D. Payne

Brad was born on December 14, 1956, in Quincy, IL, to Namond and Margaret (Nixon) Payne. He dedicated 25 years of service as an operating engineer with Valley Construction before his retirement. A proud member of the International Union of Operating Engineers Local 150 since 1990, Brad valued the camaraderie and purpose his union brought to his life.

Brad took great pride in maintaining his lawn and enjoyed spending time watching his favorite TV shows. He loved staying connected with family and friends and cherished being part of his community. Living along the Bix 7 racecourse, he volunteered for the annual event, finding joy in working alongside neighbors to support the beloved tradition.

Many will fondly remember Brad for his love of cars, including the infamous red Fiero that was a staple of his life and personality.

Known for his kind and generous spirit, Brad was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need.

He is survived by his children, grandchildren, and many other loving family members and friends.

Brad was preceded in death by his father, Namond Payne.
