There will be private funeral services held at a later date for Brett A. Newell, 43, of Davenport, IA, formerly of Baton Rouge, LA. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded. Mr. Newell passed away on Friday, May 27, 2011, at his home in Davenport. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service assisted the family with arrangements.Brett Alan Newell was born in Little Rock, Arkansas on March 22, 1968, the son of Danny and Jo Ellen (Love) Newell. He graduated in 1986 from Brinkley High School in Brinkley, Arkansas. Following graduation he attended the University of Central Arkansas, and later joined the United States Army Reserves. In February of 2010, he moved to Davenport, IA.He is survived by his Sister: Kara Lyn Newell of Ashburn, VA; his Brother: Scott Newell of Conway, AR; and his Grandmother: Francis Love.He was preceded in death by his parents, and his Grandparents: Roy Love, and Daniel and Florence Newell.
