Brett was born November 8, 1986, to Craig and Tammy (Hatler) Watson in Davenport, IA. He graduated from Pleasant Valley High School in 2005. Brett also attended Scott Community College and Ashford University. He worked as a cook at several local restaurants over the years. In his free time, Brett enjoyed watching movies, playing video games, and spending time with his family, which he was very close to. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Bettendorf, IA. Brett will be remembered as a very fun-loving, caring guy, who loved helping others.

Brett will be missed by his mother, Tammy Watson of LeClaire; brother, Ryan Watson of Three Rivers, CA; grandmother: Sue Hatler; uncles: Keith Watson, Chuck Allen, Terry (Kelly) Hatler; and several cousins: J. L. (Carrie) Hatler, Joshua (Kirrie) Hatler, Joseph Hatler, Cassie (Chris) Daisy and Jessica Krueger. He was preceded in death by his dad, Craig Watson; grandfather, Jere Hatler; and his aunt, Nancy Allen.
