Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm Tuesday August 4, 2026 at the National Cemetery Rock Island, Il. There will be a visitation from 11:30am to 12:30 am at the Runge Mortuary prior to the services and burial in the National Cemetery Rock Island.
Brian was born October 9, 1950 in Davenport, IA to Theodore & Frances Bekkum. Brian served in the US Army from 1969 to 1972. He was united in marriage to Renee McCoy and later married Dorothy Sims who preceded him in death in 2020.
Brian had been employed at John Deere retiring after 30 years.
Survivors include his daughter Jessica Bekum, step daughters Brenda & Sharron Sims, and 9 grandchildren.
Brian was preceded in death by his wife and a son Chad Bekkum.
