Byron LeRoy Kime Jr. passed on July 16, 2026, at the age of 90. Born June 11, 1936, in Hutchen, Kansas, Byron lived in Eldridge, Iowa, and is survived by Catherine A. Kime, wife, and Nancy Kime, daughter.

Visitation will be held at The Runge Mortuary and Crematory SCI-Iowa Funeral Service, Inc., 838 East Kimberly Road, Davenport, IA 52807, US, on July 24, 2026, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, followed by a Funeral Service at the same location on July 24, 2026, from 11:00 am to 11:30 am.

Final resting place will be Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island.
