

She was born on November 18, 1939 in Moline, IL. Carol spent her youth in Coal Valley, IL and married her middle school sweetheart, the love of her life, Erle Glaus. They had 4 sons (Kevin (d), Greg, Jeff, & Brian), and spent 63 years together until Erle’s passing in 2020.
Carol spent her life taking care of others, always putting the needs of those she loved before her own. She was a devoted wife, mother, friend, aunt, and grandmother. She could often be found dancing with her husband in the kitchen, listening to country music and Elvis Presley. She loved to bake and cook, baking nearly everyone she knew’s birthday cake year after year. She loved sports, and was a lifelong St Louis Cardinals & Iowa Hawkeyes fan.
Carol was kind, loving, smart, sassy, resilient, and fun. Being loved or taken care of by her was a privilege and a gift. She is very loved and very missed.
Left to cherish her memory are her sons Greg (Deborah) Glaus, Jeff Glaus, Brian (Amanda) Glaus; nephew Steven Schimmel; grandchildren Ashton Glaus, Keegan (Paige) Glaus, Ian Glaus, Madison Glaus, Reagan Glaus; Stephanie Medina, Elizabeth (Toby) Schneider, John Goss, Jessica (Rick Altieri) Goss: and great grandchildren Cash & Crew Glaus, Grayson & Addison Schneider: and her brothers Pat (Vicki) Marshall and Denny Marshall.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband Erle Glaus, sister Rosanne Schimmel, son Kevin Glaus, and niece Jane Anderson.
