Carol J. Kreiter-Lindquist, 82, of Davenport passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at her home. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at Weerts Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held following the visitation. Cremation will follow. Carol was born on July 28, 1940 in Omaha, NE to James and Alice (Munson) Swanson. She graduated from Bettendorf High School in 1958. Carol married Dale Kreiter in 1959. He preceded her in death in June of 1984. Carol was united in marriage to LeRoy “Lee” Lindquist on October 6, 1989 in Davenport.
Carol was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church. In her younger years, she was a 4-H Leader and volunteer, a member of the Scott County Cattlemen’s Association, Farm Bureau and Telecare Ministry at Trinity Lutheran. Carol loved making baskets, jewelry, cooking, baking, porcelain, ceramics, sewing, fishing and dancing with Lee. One of Carol’s many gifts was providing hospitality for her family and friends. She always made sure they had personalized treats when they arrived. Above all, Carol loved her family and she will be deeply missed.
Survivors include her loving husband, Lee; her three children, Penny (Mike) Jacobs, Tracey Kreiter, grandson Jordan Prichard and Kelly (Jared) Penning; stepchildren, Katherine Lindquist, Mitchell Lindquist, LeAnn Thome, Heidi Nelson and Amy Black; twelve step grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Bob Swanson and her mother and father-in-law, Willard and Ethel Kreiter.
