

Carolyn Jean Williams, the daughter of Roy and Imogene (Smith) Scott departed this life on Wednesday, March 4, 2015 surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm, Saturday, March 7, 2015 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Born October 17, 1938, in Clinton, Missouri. In her youth, she lived in Monroe City, Missouri before settling in Davenport, Iowa.
During this time, she was a proud and devoted mother. She worked at Marycrest College and volunteered at Jefferson Elementary School before retiring and devoting her full-time to raising her family. She was a proud member of Truth Temple Church of God in Christ and later joined Jerusalem Temple Apostolic Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents Roy and Imogene (Smith) Scott, Sisters: Velma Robinson, Elizabeth Washington, Rosa Harrison, Jacquline Summers, Daisy Mayfield, Eleanor Collins and Brothers: Emmitt Scott, Samuel Scott, Roy Scott, Rufus Scott and Ollie Scott.
She leaves to mourn husband of 54 years, Roy Williams; daughter: Jennifer Williams, sons: Terry Williams, Curtis Williams, and Jason Williams; daughter-in-law: Vicky; sister: Bonnie Wallace all of Davenport. In addition, 5 grandchildren: Tarrance K. Williams, Laryn Ingram-Williams, Aleczander “Bubba” Carter, Jason Williams, and Alexandria Williams as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
