Chanh Nguyen

Chanh Nguyen, 87, of Davenport IA, passed away peacefully on September 30, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones. He was born on December 20, 1939 in Da Nang Vietnam. He was married to Vinh Mai on June, 14, 1968 and they shared 58 years of marriage together. He lived a life marked by courage and love for his family. He proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. His service and sacrifice was an important part of his life, and he carried the values of duty and honor throughout the years. Chanh was known for his generosity, strong work ethic, selflessness, and will be remembered by those who knew him.

Chanh was survived by his loving wife, Vinh Mai; children: Nguyen Thi Ngoc Dung, Nguyen Thi Phuong Thao, Nguyen Chi Thuan, Nguyen Thi Phuong Anh, Nguyen Thi Anh Nguyet, Nguyen Thanh Trung, Nguyen Thi Ngoc, Nguyen Minh, Nguyen Giang; grandchildren: Le Cong Tai, Le Cong Tien, Nguyen Janell, Nguyen Kenneth, Nguyen Chi Hien, Nguyen Harry, Nguyen Jenna, Nguyen Tyna, Nguyen Alex, Nguyen Anthony, Nguyen Tara, and Nguyen ZaViar. Great grandchildren: Nguyen Ngoc Thanh Truc, Le Ngoc Phuong Linh, Le Ryan, Corry Theorn, and Corry Myles.

Chanh will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those he loved. May his legacy live on in the lives of all who knew and loved him.

A gathering of family and friends for a Buddhist ceremony will be held at the Runge Mortuary & Crematory on October 4, 2026 at 9:00 AM with a visitation from 11:30 AM - 3:00 PM.
