Charles Edgar Harland, 75, of Muscatine, Iowa, passed away on June 5, 2026. He was born on January 31, 1951 in Muscatine, Iowa. Per his wishes, cremation rites have been accorded, and no services will be held. There will be a small celebration of life at a later date.
Charles worked as a Janitor for Allsteel and later for Goodwill. In his time away from work, Charles found enjoyment in life’s familiar comforts—bowling, fishing, scratching lottery tickets, drinking coffee, eating Maid Rite, and watching old westerns.
Those left to honor Charles are his sons, Charles (Candace) Harland and Tony (Charrie) Harland; grandchildren Karlee, Adysin, Kelly, Katharine, Tonya, and Darrian; brother, Butch Mathias; nieces and nephew Vicky, Jay, Shellie, Candi, and many great nieces and nephews.
Charles was preceded in death by his foster parents, Jerry and Peggy Mathias; sister, Sandy Lessenger, and her daughter Tammy, and his brothers, Dennis Smith and David Smith.
