Charles was born December 29, 1936, to Charles and Margaret (Sanders) Maruth in Johnson County, IA. He proudly served in the U.S Army. On March 22, 1959, Charles was united in marriage to Ada Moyle in Denver, CO. Together, they had two children, Steve and Lori. Charles worked retail at several businesses in the area over the years. He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Davenport. Charles enjoyed the outdoors, woodworking, Frank Lloyd Wright architecture and was an avid Hawkeye fan.
Charles will be missed by his children, Steve (Cindy) Maruth of Ankeny, IA, and Lori (James) Braselton of Statesboro, GA; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Ada; a sister, Patricia Tudor; and his dear friend, Beverly Seghers.
