

Private graveside services for Charles E. Stollenwerk, 82, of Davenport were held at the Rock Island National Cemetery in Rock Island, IL. Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded. Mr. Stollenwerk passed away on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at Manor Care, Davenport. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service assisted the family with arrangements. Charles Edward Stollenwerk was born in Los Angeles, California on March 1, 1930, the son of William and Margaret (Garcia) Stollenwerk. He served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict. On June 29, 1957, he married Carolyn Allen in Carmel, CA. In his later years, he and his wife began creating “ABC” books for under-privileged children. He is survived by his Wife: Carolyn of Davenport; two Sons: Clayton Stollenwerk of Davenport, Clifford Stollenwerk of Sedona, AZ; 3 Grandchildren: Christina, Daniel, and Steven Stollenwerk, all of Kansas City, MO; and a Great-Granddaughter: Lucy Mae Candillo-Stollenwerk. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
