
Christine Wristen, 67, of Davenport, passed away Monday, September 22, 2014 in the comfort of her own home, surrounded by the people who loved her, after a courageous battle with an extended illness. Per her request, cremation rites will be accorded. No services will be held. A visitation will be held on Friday from 3-7 pm at the Runge Mortuary. Christine was born July 31, 1947 in Iowa City, IA; the daughter of Harold and Betty (LaRue) Jensen. She was united in marriage to James Wristen on February 24, 1968 in Davenport. She had worked at Jeff’s Market and later at Golick’s Meat Market prior to her retiring. She loved gardening, cooking, electronic gadgets, but most of all, her family and granddogs.
Those left to honor her memory include her husband, James; daughters: Annie Wristen (Corey Adams), Davenport and Nici (Lupe)Rubio, Plaquemine, LA; sisters: Cathy Collins (Roger), Bartonville, IL; Candy Braun (Robert), Troy, OH and Pat Pannell, Sun City, AZ; brother, John Jensen (Denise), Tipton, IA; six granddogs; special friend, Jamie Oliver and multiple nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, James Jensen.
