Clifford C. Airgood, 82, of Bettendorf, passed away Wednesday, June 26, 2013 at the Iowa Masonic Home in Bettendorf after an eight year battle with Alzheimer’s. Visitation will be Saturday, June 29, 2013 from 2-4 pm at the Runge Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Special Care Unit at the Iowa Masonic Home in Bettendorf. Online condolences may be left at www.rugnemortuary. Clifford was born July 25, 1930 in Davenport; the son of Charles and Emma (Doring) Airgood. He was a veteran of the Korean War, serving two terms with the Army. He was united in marriage to Katharina Biekel on September 18, 1956 in Germany. He worked for the US Postal Service, retiring in 1986 after thirty-two years of service. He liked to travel, especially to Europe, where he greatly enjoyed the Austrian mountains. Those celebrating his life, include his loving wife of 56 years, Katharina; daughter, Kathy Paddie; son, Joe (Jodi) Airgood; all of the Quad City area; grandchildren: Sam, Joe, Jake, Selena; step-grandchildren: Angie, Ann and Carl; half-brothers: Ronald and Richard Johnson and a sister-in-law, Ellen Airgood. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Duane. The family would like to acknowledge the staff at the Special Care Unit at the Iowa Masonic Home for their wonderful care and support!

To the family of Clifford. Sorry to hear of the passing of Clifford he was a very
nice man. My mother was in the Masonic Special Care Unit with him. She only
was there for about a year and every Sunday I would visit her and there was
Clifford walking around. You will be in my prayers.
