Clifford Lowery Sr.

Clifford Lowery, Sr. was born in Dallas, Iowa on December 19th, 1938, to his late parents Harry Lowery, Sr. and Flora Mae (Campbell) Lowery. He passed away on Saturday December 5th, 2020 at Genesis Hospital in Davenport, Iowa. He was the ninth child born to this union. Family and friends always called him “Doc” and that name stayed with him all his life. If you were to say Clifford no one would know who you were talking about!

Clifford (Doc) was educated in the Des Moines Public School System where he participated in sports while living in Des Moines he worked several years at National-BY Products as a supervisor. Later he moved to Davenport, IA where he spent many years working at Eagles Warehouse. He later retired from apartment management and Landlord.

In his younger days he loved to hunt with his father and brothers it was a family tradition that every Thanksgiving they would go hunting. One of Doc’s favorite past times was fishing with his brothers and friends in Minnesota, he loved to fish anytime he had the chance.

He was a diehard Vikings football fan and loved to engage in a heated discussion on the game! Above all he loved his family. He loved kids and always had some of his kids, grandkids, nephews and other family members around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Van, Frank, Jack, Bill and sister’s Minnie, and Mae. He is survived by the Love of his Life Jeannette, his sons: Clifford Jr (Rose) Lowery, Ronnell Humphrey, Antwon (Linda) Lowery, Andrew Lowery & Coard Lowery. His daughters: Tela Humphrey, Elveda (Larry) Gamblin and Kollen Hill.

Brothers: Harry (Donna) Lowery and Richard (Cassandra) Lowery,; sister, Winifred Propps, other survivors, several grandchildren, great grandkids Nieces, Nephews and friends.

He was truly loved and will be missed Doc fought the good fight and now has finished the course.
