

Memorial services for Curtis L. Sagers, 53, of Bettendorf will be held at a later date. He died on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at his home. Cunnick-Collins Mortuary and Cremation Service assisted the family with arrangements.Curtis Lane Sagers was born on May 16, 1961 in Maquoketa, Iowa to Alan Lane and Karen( Ales) Sagers. He graduated from Maquoketa Community High School and earned certification as a Machinist at Eastern Iowa Community College. Curtis worked as a machinist/tool and die maker in eastern Iowa for 35 years. He was an avid biker and Harley enthusiast, and enjoyed the open road with his close friends. He is survived by his parents, Lane (Berna) Sagers of Maquoketa and Karen (David) Schoenthaler of Venice, Florida; four children, Nathain, Monica and Stephen Sagers of Maquoketa and Jerret Sagers of Houghton, Michigan; and four grandchildren. He is also survived by two sisters, Carmen (Tom) Domek of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, and Cindy Sagers of Fayetteville, Arkansas; two brothers, Charles (Stephanie) Sagers of Maquoketa and Christopher (Annie Wu) Sagers of Cleveland Heights, Ohio; and numerous nieces and nephews.
