Dale was born January, 12, 1961 in Davenport, the son of Ross and Eileen (Alvin) Ewers. He was united in marriage to Neta Stout on September 12, 1992 in Moline, IL. Even though he didn’t have children of his own, he loved his step-children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was proud of their accomplishments in life and often bragged about them to others.
While working at M.A. Ford, Dale put himself through Scott Community College to become an ASE Certified Mechanic and diesel mechanic. He also was ASE certified in other areas. Dale worked many years at Thermoking in Milan, IL, where his bosses were very kind and good to him. He had many memories to share with his family while working there. He loved to tell funny stories of his growing up years and could keep you entertained for hours. Currently he was working at Green Chevrolet. He was an innovative and curious child and loved to take things apart to figure out how they worked. Many days, his dad would find watches and radios in pieces. His curiosity brought him to be his dad’s right hand man while working on the family car. As a young teenager, he could be seen under the hood, helping his dad. It was his love of working on cars that brought him to his career choice.
Dale enjoyed fishing and hunting with his brothers in their younger years.
Those left to honor his memory include his wife, Neta, Davenport, stepchildren: Ronnie (Sara) Stout, Moline, IL; Connie (Michael) Schmitt, Remsen, IA; grandchildren: Chyna and Dakota Stout; siblings: Dennis (Theresa) Ewers, Eldridge, IA; Debra (Joel) Harry, Princeton, IA; Diane (Greg) Davis, Wheatland, IA; nephews: Brian Ewers, Michael Harry and nieces: Lynn Ewers, Paige Ewers, Sara and Katie Davis and his former daughter-in-law, Sherry Stout Ezard, Colona, IL. He was preceded in death by his father (2008), his mother (February 2011), oldest brother, David (May 1989) and his parents-in-law. May he rest in eternal peace with them and his grandparents, aunts and uncles.
