Daniel A. Burrows

Daniel A. Burrows, 57, of Davenport passed away Tuesday, February 23, 2010 at his residence. Cremation rites have been accorded. A visitation will be held Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 12-2 PM at The Runge Mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Genesis Cancer Ward.

Daniel was born on May 24, 1952 in Davenport to Calvin Lewis and Alta Virgene (Pennewell) Burrows. He was united in marriage to Peggy Roslansky on November 25, 1978 in Davenport. Dan enjoyed hunting fishing, and woodworking. He was a past president of the Davenport Pheasants Forever and worked with Symphony in Bloom and the Festival of Trees. Dan and his father Calvin were partners in Burrows Industries. He was also a part owner of Linden Terrace Greenhouses. He managed a greenhouse on the East Coast prior to returning to the Quad Cities to work as a Maintenance Supervisor at Ramada Inn. Daniel was a good friend and a man of his word.

Those left to honor his memory include his loving wife Peggy, mother Jeanne, Davenport, step-daughter Tina (Lou) Giovannucci, MI, grandchildren Isabella and Enzo, brother David (Lori) Burrows, Dubuque, IA, and long time good friends Cheryl and Becca Harvey, Davenport.

He is preceded in death by his father.
