Daniel "Dan" Jaeggi

Daniel Albert Jaeggi, 72, of Blue Grass, passed away peacefully Friday, August 7, 2026, surrounded by his family. Visitation will be Thursday, August 13, 2026, from 5- 7 pm at The Runge Mortuary with a celebration of life in the near future.

Dan was born August 27, 1953, in Davenport to Walter and Virginia (Lorenz) Jaeggi. He graduated high school in Davenport and afterwards worked as a welder for JI Case in Bettendorf until it closed and then drove daily to Burlington for 15 years for the plant there.

He met the love of his life and got engaged in 1999, Lori Kormann and they married in 2013 in Iowa City. When he wasn’t working, Dan had a great passion for fishing, hunting and trapshooting. He looked forward to playing his favorite card game, Euchre at the Wooden Nickel in Davenport. He enjoyed a good steak and was a master at grilling them.

Left to cherish his memory include his wife, Lori; nephews: David Jaeggi, Davenport, Kain (Heather) Kormann, Blue Grass and Kole Kormann, Davenport; sister-in-law, Misty Kormann, Davenport; stepson, Joshua Meier, Davenport, stepdaughter, Amanda, Davenport, grandchildren: Hunter and Connor who they adopted in 2018, Aiden Galle and Harper and Evelyn Meier. In addition to his parents, Dan was preceded in death by brother, Larry and sister, Kathy Morrow along with his nephew, Kye Kormann and brother-in-law, Kevin Kormann.
