Darcia Dawn Nahra

Cremation will be done with the family greeting friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at The Runge Mortuary and Crematory Davenport. Her memorial service will follow at 12:00 p.m. in the Runge Chapel. Burial will follow in Davenport Memorial Park. Darcia was born December 27, 1944, in Davenport, IA to Harry & Nelda (Gathje) Blankenfeld. Earlier in life she worked for MA Ford and at Convenient Mart until she became a stay-at-home mom to care for her growing family. Darcia enjoyed playing BINGO with her friends and her favorite slot machine was “Hot Peppers”.

Survivors include 5 children Rodney Banks, Adams, TN, Tammy (Jim) Weisrock, Davenport, IA, Jamie Wardlow, Welton, IA, Jodi Wardlow, Davenport, IA, & Casey Cross, Kansas City, KS; 12 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; & a brother Del Ryan.

Darcia was preceded in death by her father PFC Harry “Bud” Blankenfeld, Mother Nelda (Gathje) Ryan; sons Richard “Dick” Banks, Daniel Nahra, Michael Claudell; daughter Kelli Cross; stepfather James Ryan, brothers Daniel & David Ryan, and sister Dena Ryan.
