Dathan Michael Reeser

Dathan was born in Noblesville, IN on January 9, 1991, the son of Melissa (Langrehr) Downey. He worked in several area businesses including the Hilton Hotel in Bettendorf, Black Hawk Hotel in Davenport and most recently, a chef for RIBCO in Rock Island for the past several years.

He was very artistic and enjoyed street art along with hip-hop music. Always the life of the party, Dathan never knew a stranger. He was a giving person and put everyone else’s needs above his own. Known for his wicked sense of humor, Dathan was affectionately referred to as “Funcle” and more-so, “Awol.”

Those left to cherish his memory include his mother, Melissa; brothers, Damian Reeser and Donavan Downey all of Davenport, sister, Megan Downey, Bettendorf; maternal grandmother, Carol Langrehr, Davenport, nieces and nephews: Autumn Reeser, Ash Reeser, Aden Downey, Kyrin McClanahan and Elijah Wardrip, his dog, Peewee along with a host of extended family members and friends.

His maternal grandfather, John Langrehr, uncle, Jeffery Langrehr and beloved dog, Princess preceded him in death.
