David A. Kautz, 70, of Davenport, passed away Saturday, August 13, 2016 at home. A Memorial Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18, 2016 in the Runge Mortuary Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to Gilda’s Club or the Hospice Foundation of America. He served in the Navy.He was united in marriage to Teryl Behncke on July 10, 1971 in Davenport, IA and was a teacher at Davenport West High School and later went into masonry construction.David enjoyed fishing and was an avid reader and a board member of Hickory Grove Lake Association.He is survived by his wife, Teryl, Davenport; sons, John A. (Kristine) Kautz, Rock Island and Nathan Kautz, Davenport; grandchildren Julian Kautz and Ariana Kautz; sister, Kathy Caffery, Muscatine and nieces and nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Heidi Kautz-Acedo.
