David was born on March 27, 1978 in Westminster, Maryland and was adopted by John and Donna McNamara. He was a graduate of Bettendorf High School. David was a cook at Poor Boys Pizza in Rock Island for many years. He loved history, especially the history of airplanes. David was an avid reader and diehard Kansas City Chiefs Football fan for over 20 years. He was also a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
David is survived by his parents, John and Donna; daughter Maggie; grandsons Jaxson Ortiz and Emerson Gorsuch; brother, Alan (Stacy) McNamara; sister, Marcia (Chrisy Williams) McNamara; and his fiancé Rebecca Shirley.
He was preceded in death by a grandson Jacen McNamara.
