David Ross Milne

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Monday, December 30, 2024 in The Runge Mortuary Chapel with visitation from 1-3 P.M. on Sunday, December 29th at the mortuary. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or Grandview Baptist Church, Davenport. He will be laid to rest in Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery.

David was born a son of Cliff and Margaret (Johnson) Milne June 15, 1958 in Duluth, Minnesota. He was united in marriage to Diane Smith September 25, 1982 in Davenport.

He spent his entire life working in commercial and residential construction . He was an avid collector of everything and enjoyed fishing, hunting for rocks and arrowheads, Frisbee golf, photographing wildlife, and walking. He was very active and dedicated to his family as well as a devoted lifelong member of Grandview Baptist Church.

Those missing him dearly are, his loving wife of 42 years, Diane, his daughters and son-in–laws, Jessica (David) Collier, LeClaire IA., and Erica (Douglas) Milne-Carleton, Davenport; mother Margaret Milne, Davenport; grandchildren, Nora, Eloise, Christian, and Cole; siblings, Brian(Sharon) Milne, Davenport, IA., Craig Milne, West Springfield, MA., Karen (Kevin) Gerboth, Davenport, IA., Loren (Crystal) Milne of Davenport, and Sarah (Jeff) Seeber Peosta, IA.

David was preceded in death by his father and daughter, Jacqueline.
