I took what I thought was a blow off class when I was a senior called Individualized Reading. The first book I read was Instant Replay by Jerry Kramer retelling the championship season of the Green Bay Packers. When I sat to discuss the book with Mr. Welsh, I thought I knew it all. I loved to read but he taught me HOW to read and look into characters stories and developments. I never read a book now (and I read a lot) without thinking of him. I really appreciate what he did for me. I got the opportunity to tell him that once when I ran into him at a car repair place. I'll never forget him and I wish I had him for more classes. My sympathies are with you.

I had the privilege of having Mr. Welsh for an teacher. He had us watch the movie "Shane" and I have loved it ever since. Thoughts and prayers to his family.
