A Celebration of her life will be Thursday, November 11, 2021 at 10 am at The Runge Mortuary. A private family committal service will follow at Davenport Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the family. Online condolences may be left at www.rungemortuary.com
Deanna was born in Mt. Pleasant, IA on June 30, 1947. She was the daughter of Frederick D. and Mable A. (McVey) Broeker. She married Roger Vensland on June 16, 1990 in Pekin, IL. He died March 9, 2011.
She started her floral career at the Bettendorf Hy-Vee location and then transferred to the Moline location where she worked from 1987 to 2005. She transferred to the Davenport location where she retired from. She received her QC Master Floral Gardner Certification and loved all types of gardening. She was dedicated to the Lord and was very active in her congregation at the Coram Deo Church.
Those left to cherish her memory include her sons, Fred (Amanda) Johns, Putnam, IL, Austin (Keely) Johns, Lincoln, NE, stepchildren, Kent (Jane) Vensland, Virginia Beach, VA and Kathryn Nohai, Eldridge, IA, 4 grandchildren, 10 step grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren: siblings: David Wynn (Patricia) Broecker, Pekin, IL and Tony (Florence) Broeker, New London, IA and five nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband Deanna was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Michael.
The family would like to thank Ray Cornelison, Bobby Cornelison, Patti and John Whitehead, Mary McTigue and Ray Lorenzen for the wonderful care and support shown to Deanna and her family during these past few years. Your kindness will never be forgotten!
